Hello Everyone !! This is Srikanth from Bangalore and this is my first blog which would visually take you to all the places that we covered in our road trip from Bangalore to Rajasthan and I'm hoping you would enjoy it !!

It was on November 12th ( Saturday ) morning at 4:30 AM when me and my friend Guru decided to go on a splendid journey covering 4 states ( Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujrat and Rajasthan ) in 12 days . My Italian beast was loaded with full tank of diesel previous night with perfect nitrogen levels on all my 4 Pirelli tires and the stage was all set to floor to the accelerator pedals to cover a whopping distance of 1000 Km's on day 1 and our first destination was to reach Mumbai .

It was at 4:45 AM when we left Kanakapura Road swirling all the way to hit NH4 through NICE road and the pics below talks it all..

It took 14.5 hours for us to reach Mumbai and this was one of the most tiring drives that I had ever encountered till date.

Day 2:  We were all geared up to explore the city of Mumbai after a heavy lunch and headed to Siddhivinayak Temple followed by CST station, Gateway of India , Marine Drive, Haaji Ali and then back to Hotel for some good rest :-)

Our Next Destination was to reach Ahmedabad which was a stop over  before we could venture into Rajasthan and we were able to see some amazing spots in Ahmedabad too.. We started at 4:30 AM in the morning and in no matter of time , we were on the mighty NH48 4 lane road which cruised us to Ahmedabad by 12:30 PM in the noon .It was a 7-hour drive to cover 330 miles and road conditions were fantastic !!

We first got a glimpse of Sabarmati Ashram and Sabrmati River Front followed by Kankaria Lake and Adlaj Steps

Day 4 : Drive from Ahmedabad to Udaipur

It was freezing cold in Ahmedabad at 4:45 AM and with great difficulty my friend Guru managed to get me out of the bed for a hot shower as we had to drive  250 KM to reach "The City of Lakes Udaipur" .

Our First Destination was "City Palace " which is a magnificent palce and it took close to 3 hours for us to  explore the place . Have managed to get some good shots of the same below

After our visit to City Palace , we hired a boat that took us to another spectacular palace in the middle of lake and this place is called "Jag Mandir" , I was able to take some spectacular night shots of this place which was lit with beautiful lights ..

Now it was time to hit the bed as we had another 250 KM journey ahead of us to reach Jodhpur - "Called as Blue City"

Day 5: Drive from Udaipur to Jodhpur

After a good sleep, we left Udaipur at 6 AM in the morning and reached Jodhpur by 11 AM . The main attraction of Jodhpur was to visit "Mehrangar Fort", "Umaid Bhavan Palace" and "Mandore Gardens"

We then headed towards the awesome "Umaid Bhavan Palace" which was worth spending some time ..

We also got to explore "Mandore gardens " with some old temples which are beautifully architectured

Day 6 : We got up at 7 AM driving all the way to explore the "Golden City - Jaisalmer" . It is said that the stones used for the construction in this city are originally GOLD in color and the pics talk it all ..

Jaisalmer Fort

After visiting the Fort , it was time for some Dune Bashing, Camel Safari and to enjoy some folk dance in the "THAR DESERT"

We were just 40 KM's away from Pakistan Border and from here our next destination was to come back to Maharashtra to visit Ajanta and Ellora Caves . Considering the long distance from Jaisalmer to Ajanta, we decided to stop over in another beautiful place called "Kumbhalgarh".

The best attraction of this place is the Kumbhalgarh fort which resembles Great Wall of China and we had an awesome time exploring this place

Day 8: We drove all the way from Kumbhalgarh to Nashik and then proceeded towards the World famous Ajanta and Ellora Caves the next day

Day 10 : This was our Final Destination in our list and we were able to easily drive to this place in 7 hours .. Yes .. I'm talking about the marvelous architecture of Hampi. We reached Hampi by 11 AM and then hired a local Rickshaw who took us to all the places and we were able to finish our photo shoots in no matter of time !!

From here we headed back to our home sweet home cherishing all the beautiful memories that we had for these 11 days !!
